Appointments are necessary for spay/neuter surgery. Call us at 661-831-6000 to schedule an appointment. Please note that check-in time for surgery is at 8 a.m. on the day of your pet's appointment.
*All pets must be secured in a carrier or on a leash when coming to the clinic for their appointment.

Surgical Fees
* California state law requires a current rabies vaccination for your dog. Please bring proof in the form of a rabies tag or certificate. We are otherwise required to administer one at the time of surgery for a charge of $12.

Female Dog: 60 pounds and under - $70
                       61 pounds or more - $80

Male Dog: 60 pounds and under - $65
                   61 pounds or more - $75

Female Cat: $50

Male Cat: $40

Feral Cat package (includes sterilization, rabies vaccine, ear-tipping): At this time, Critters Without Litters will only accept feral cats through recognized nonprofit organizations. Interested organizations may contact us for additional information regarding fees and policies.

Additional fees will be charged for in heat or pregnant females, cryptorchidism (retained testicle) in males, or umbilical hernia repair.

Pregnant females:
Cat - Additional $10
Dog - Additional $20

Females in heat
Cat - No additional charge
Dog - Additional $10

Cryptorchid male – Additional $20 - $40

Umbilical hernia repair – Additional $20

Nail trim – Additional $5

Ear Cleaning – Additional $5 - $35

Microchip implantation – Additional $20

Additional post-surgical pain medication - Available at additional cost, depending on type/size of pet.


Vaccine & Test Fees

Our veterinarians recommend that pets are vaccinated from communicable diseases (distemper, parvo, and upper respiratory diseases) at least two weeks prior to surgery.

Administered only with surgery.

Canine Vaccines

Rabies (required by law) - $12 
        
DHPP (Distemper/Parvo) - $12

Bordetella (kennel cough) - $12

Heartworm Test - $20

Feline Vaccines

Rabies - $12

FVRCP (Distemper/Upper Respiratory) - $12

FeLV (Feline Leukemia) - $12

FeLV/FIV (Feline AIDS) combo test - $20

Flea Treatment
*Please note: If your pet has an active flea infestation at the time of surgery, he/she will be treated for their health and the health of our other patients at an additional charge of $13.

Flea treatment is available for purchase at the time of surgery, both in single dose and by package. Please check with the front office for brands and pricing.

Carriers & E-Collars
Cat carriers are available for purchase at $5.00.
E-collars are available for purchase at $5.00 to discourage licking/chewing on surgical site.
